This is the bolt-in setup for the Thunderbirds.
The Bag/Shock is manufactured by
Air
Ride Technologies and is known as their Shockwave universal
Strut. The part that makes this unit bolt-on, is the lower bracket
that adapts it to work on the Thunderbirds in the factory location.
With this unit the top factory mount is used, solving the problems
of the owner having the locate the bag properly for clearance of
the spindle an other obstacles. This unit it fully billet aluminum,
both the Shockwave and the lower mounting bracket. It adjustable
for different tire and wheel combinations to get the drop you want.
There is an Adjustment to control the shock dampening. It is at
the very top of the shaft and is accessible in the engine compartment.
A.R.T. recommends 1 click of the adjustment knob for every 10 P.S.I
in your ride height. (ex.) A ride height of 80 P.S.I. should have
8 clicks. (this is just a guide line to get you close.Tune it the
way it works best for your bird.) This unit avaliable through
