it seems to me that the exhaust system in that pic pretty much flows the same as the stock system.
my bird is a 95 with the 4.6 and the only place that touches when layed out is the pinch on the bottom side of the catalytic converters. i drug those flat now everything is level

That kit looks good. im going to do my exhaust when i start driving the bird again and might go that route.

for some reason I thought the stock exhaust went over the rear axle not under it. I could be wrong though but I know my mustangs did.

Independant rear suspension, no solid axles here.
the tubing runs between the pumpkin and LCA mounts on both sides... all pretty much tucked up underneith.

ok, I just don't want to get an exhaust system that I'll end up crushing it when I put air ride in my bird because this exhaust looks really low already but I would love to have the true dual system.

It shouldnt drag, but that depends on how it is installed ... the "kit" only comes with the section between the transmission to the rear diff .. the X-pipe and cat downtubes are sold seperately, as well as the mufflers .. so depending on how they are installed, they may or may not hang down below the point where they might possibly drag. I had dual exhaust on my old setup and it was dragged on as well. Normally the 4.6's lay on the Cats like Lowlyfe mentioned above, I cant imagine it's good for the motor mounts either.

I guess my stock exhaust was mounted lower than normal or something, but I've flattened it out from dragging it. Got a nice hole in it now. And like Lowlyfe, the bottom of my cats are flat too.

When I made mine I removed the cats, tucked the down pipe super close to the fire wall, tucked it in the tunnel with the drive shaft, ran a resonator on each pipe then turn down right out of that. It sounds like a magnaflow system on a mustang. Cost me 50$ in materials. Granted I work at an exhaust shop, its still super cheap and air friendly. Ill post a pic later.
